How can I display my Opinion on the Members' Opinions page?
1. On your Administration Page, click the My Opinions tab.
2. Select a News Category from the dropdown box.
3. Click one of the Headlines that is displayed on the right side.
4. Enter your Opinion in the textbox that is labeled "Your Opinion about this News Item".
5. Click the [Publish Your Opinion] button.
Your most recently entered Opinion will immediately appear at the top of the Members' Opinions page.
The message "This website has been displayed in a new window" is shown, but no website is displayed.
You must disable your popup blocker.
I forgot my password (or my password doesn't work).
On your homepage (www.HereIam.tv/Your Username), click the link on the right side to retrieve a 'Lost password'.
Nothing happens when I change the settings on the Administration Page.
You must click [Save Changes] for the settings to become active.
What is the Font Size setting for (on the Administration Page)?
When you click [Save Changes], the links at the bottom of the Administration Page will use the Font Size that you selected.
What are the New Window checkboxes for (on the Administration Page), and why is there no checkbox on the first row?
If a website will not display on the same page as HereIam.tv (such as Facebook or MySpace), then check the New Window checkbox.
This will cause an asterisk to appear after the link's title, indicating that the website will appear in a new browser window (instead of on the same page as HereIam.tv).
This may require that visitors to your homepage disable their popup blocker.
You may not set the default link (the link that appears first on your homepage) to display in a new window, since that would require that a popup is immediately displayed when
your homepage is shown, which is not allowed by most browsers.
How do I change the Order of the links that are shown on my homepage?
On your Administration Page, you may change the numbers that appear in the Order column.
How do I Delete a link that I had previously entered?
On your Administration Page, clear any of the first three fields on that row, and click [Save Changes].
For example, you can just remove the number that appears in the Order column.
When I click [Save Changes] on the Administration Page, my changes are not saved.
If "Your changes have been saved" is not displayed, then please confirm that cookies are enabled on your browser.
May I have more than one HereIam.tv homepage?
You may sign-up more than once. Each HereIam.tv homepage must have a unique Username.
Chat Room Help
HereIam.tv members may create chat rooms that are public (which anyone can join), or private
(which require an Access Code that you provide). Anyone can join your chat room, even if they are not a member at HereIam.tv.
Create a New Chat Session: On the Chat Rooms tab of your Administration Page,
complete the following two fields and click [Create Chat Session]:
-
Session Name: This name will appear at the top of your chat room.
-
Screen Name: This name will appear each time you add a message to your chat room.
You may also optionally complete the following two fields:
-
Access Code: If you complete this field, then visitors must enter the Access Code to view your chat room.
-
Date/Time To Start: This is just for your edification, so you can remember when you told other people to join your chat room.
Launch or Join Your Chat Room:
When you create a new chat room, it will initially show that it is Stopped (in the Guests column).
You must click [Select] (to the right of the Stopped text), and then click [Launch New Session]
(towards the top of the page). This will open a new browser window which contains your chat room.
After your chat room has been launched, your admin page will initially show "0" in the Guests column. In the future, you may Join your chat room by first clicking [Select],
and then clicking [Join Chat Room] (towards the top of the page).
If a chat room had been previously launched, then clicking [Launch New Session] will display a new chat room, with no messages.
Invite Visitors To Your Chat Room:
When you click [Select] next to a chat session, the URL is displayed
in a blue read-only textbox (towards the top of the page). You can copy-and-paste that URL onto your emails and webpages, to let other people know about your chat room.
Edit an Existing Chat Session:
When you click [Select] next to a chat session, the information that you had previously entered for that chat session is displayed
at the top of the page. You may modify any of those four fields, and click [Save Changes].
Using a Chat Room:
When you join a chat room, you may type a message in the My Message textbox, and press [Enter] for your message to be displayed
to all other visitors of that chat room. When you are done using a chat room, you should click [Leave Chat Session], which will prevent
someone else from assuming your identity on your computer.
If you are the Host, then the [Stop Chat Session] button will be displayed,
allowing you to terminate the chat session. A guest is automatically removed if they have had no interaction with a chat session for 24 hours, and a chat session is automatically stopped
if no new messages are entered for 24 hours.
Chat Robot:
When the checkbox labeled Check to receive a response from the Chat Robot is checked, all your messages will receive a response from the Chat Robot,
which sometimes gives very witty comments.
